Will compressing reduce video quality?
The tool uses CRF (Constant Rate Factor) encoding which intelligently balances file size and quality. You can adjust the quality slider: lower values = better quality but larger files, higher values = smaller files with some quality loss.
What video formats are supported?
The tool supports MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, WebM, and FLV files. Output is MP4 (H.264) for maximum compatibility across all devices and platforms.
Is there a file size limit?
There is no artificial limit. However, very large files (over 2GB) may cause memory issues in the browser. The tool processes videos entirely locally using FFmpeg.wasm.
How long does compression take?
Compression time depends on your device's CPU, the video resolution, and the desired quality. A typical 1-minute 1080p video takes 30-90 seconds on a modern computer.
Is my video uploaded anywhere?
