Your URL is never stored on our serversWhen you enter a URL, our server-side proxy fetches the page content on your behalf — bypassing browser CORS restrictions. It then parses the HTML to extract Open Graph tags (og:title, og:description, og:image, og:site_name) and falls back to standard HTML tags when OG data is missing. The extracted metadata is returned as structured JSON and rendered as a visual preview card. Presend does not store the URL (your IP may be kept for up to 2 minutes as a rate-limiting key). The site you check sees a request from Presend's server, and the preview image and favicon are then loaded by your browser directly from that site, which therefore also sees your IP.
